2006 Honda Ridgeline Honda Ridgeline Honda's first pickup truck, the Ridgeline, is an all-wheel-drive crew cab design based on the Honda Pilot. It has a unibody construction and steel reinforced composite bed. The only powertrain available at this time is the 255-hp V6, 5-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel-drive system found in Honda Pilot. All models have front bucket seats and a 60/40 split rear bench with cushions that flip up to increase in-cab storage.
Antilock 4-wheel disc brakes, antiskid/traction control, and 17-inch wheels are standard, plus front torso side airbags and head-protecting curtain side airbags. The curtains cover both seating rows and are designed to deploy in a side impact or when sensors detect an impending rollover. Ridgeline's rear window has a power-sliding center section.

Inside, the Ridgeline boasts a roomy, five-passenger cabin with interior space comparable to that of a full-size truck. The transmission shift lever is mounted on the steering column, and between the front seats is a center console that slides forward or back a few inches to customize storage space. The versatile second-row bench has storage space under the seat large enough to hold a set of golf clubs and features a 60/40-split lift- up rear seat allowing for storage of even larger items. Honda Ridgeline Interior
Honda Ridgeline is a compact-class 5-passenger 4-dr crew cab with a 5-ft-long cargo bed. It's smaller than the mid-size Dodge Dakota and closer, but wider, than the compact Toyota Tacoma or GM's Colorado/ Canyon. Ridgeline has several design features more common in SUV's than pickups, including independent rear suspension vs. solid axle, and unibody construction vs. body on frame.

Honda Ridgeline Under Bed Trunk The Ridgeline's bed is a dent and corrosion resistant plastic with a steel-reinforced floor that incorporates a locking nine-cubic-foot "trunk" bin at the rear. A two-way drop-down/swing-out tailgate allows for easy access to the trunk. Ridgeline's bed also features a load floor that allows 4x8 sheets of plywood to sit flat, unique among "compact" pickup trucks. The trunk even features a drain plug, so you can fill it with ice for use as a cooler!
Ridgeline's engine is rated at 250hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. This power helps it tow 5000 pounds, or haul 1/2 ton in its 5-foot bed. To aid in towing, the Ridgeline comes equipped with transmission and power steering coolers. More...
